New Delhi: Australia has deported 15 Indian citizens, sending them back to New Delhi. Of these individuals, 9 hailed from Punjab. All were brought to India via a special chartered flight, which landed at Delhi Airport.
According to Australian authorities, these individuals were expelled from the country for several reasons:
Many of them faced serious allegations such as drunk driving, theft, fraud, drug-related offenses, stalking, and acts of violence. A startling revelation was that out of the 15 individuals, only two possessed valid passports. The remaining were sent to India using "Emergency Certificates," which are valid solely for one-way travel.
Officials explained that the behavior of some of the detainees was deemed "non-compliant and disruptive." In other words, they were refusing to follow rules and were offering resistance. For this reason, transporting them on a standard commercial flight was not considered safe; hence, a special aircraft was utilized.
