New Delhi: People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has come under criticism after photographs and videos from a protest in Jammu and Kashmir appeared to show the Indian National Flag being displayed in an incorrect orientation.

The visuals, which have been widely shared on social media platforms, appear to show the green band of the Tricolour at the top and the saffron band at the bottom. Flag Code of India lays down display rules

According to the Flag Code of India, the Tricolour must be displayed with the saffron band at the top, followed by the white band with the navy-blue Ashoka Chakra, and the green band at the bottom.
