Govt Extends ED Director Rahul Navin’s Tenure

Centre has extended the tenure of ED director Rahul Navin by 1 year.

New Delhi: The government on Sunday has extended the tenure of Enforcement Directorate (ED) Director Rahul Navin for one year till August 13, 2027.

The appointments committee of the Cabinet has approached Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has approved the extension, according to the order received from the ministry. Navin belongs to the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and in service since 1993.

The order extends Navin's tenure as the ED director post beyond Jul 31, 2027, his scheduled retirement as per the government order.

The Enforcement Directorate is the central agency that probes money laundering and foreign exchange cases. Navin is currently posted as the agency's director and will continue to head the organisation for another year on the basis of the recent directive.
