New Delhi: In today's time, telecom companies are constantly making changes in their plans, and in this context, Bharti Airtel has increased the price of one of its popular prepaid plans. The special thing is that despite the increase in price, its benefits have remained the same as before, due to which many users seem disappointed.
Airtel's 1.5GB daily data plan with 84 days validity will now be available for ₹899 instead of ₹859. The company implemented this change quietly, but users quickly noticed it. It is believed that this step has been taken to increase the average revenue (ARPU) of the company.
Despite the increase in price, there has been no change in the benefits of the plan. In this plan, users get unlimited calling, 100 SMS daily, and 1.5 GB high-speed data. After the data is exhausted, the speed reduces to 64 Kbps.
Airtel has also discontinued the ₹799 plan, which offered almost the same benefits but came with a validity of 77 days. Now users have either a 60-day plan for ₹619 or an 84-day plan for ₹899.
After this change, Reliance Jio has emerged as a slightly cheaper option. Jio's 84-day 1.5GB daily data plan is available for ₹889, which is ₹10 cheaper than Airtel. This difference may be small but may be important for many users.
If you need more data, then Jio's ₹ 1799 plan can be a good option. In this, 3GB of data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS are available daily. Its validity is also 84 days, due to which there is no need for frequent recharge.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) also offers several plans with a validity of 84 days. For those who use less data, there are plans of ₹ 470 and ₹ 509, in which 6 GB of data is available. At the same time, in the plan of ₹ 859, OTT benefits and a Hotstar subscription are also given along with 1.5 GB of data daily.
If you want long validity and balanced data, Airtel's new plan is still a good option. But if you want a little cheaper or more data, then Jio or Vi may prove to be better for you.
