Raipur: After the monsoon break, the operations of security forces to eliminate Naxalites in Bastar region have again intensified. Since the morning of 7 September, an encounter is going on between the soldiers and Naxalites on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada. So far six Naxalites have been reported killed in this encounter, but according to sources, this number may also increase.
Senior police officials had received information that a large team of Naxalites was gathering in a forest in Abujhmad area and preparing for an important meeting. After this information, DRG (Dragon Rising Group) soldiers were sent there from Narayanpur and Dantewada. At around 9 am, the soldiers came face to face with the Naxalites and firing started between the two sides.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said that after receiving the information, a joint police team of Dantewada-Narayanpur was sent. As soon as the Naxalites came to know about the arrival of the police, they ran towards the forest, after which firing started from both sides. The encounter is still going on and the security forces are carrying forward the operation with full vigilance.
Earlier, there was an encounter between the police and the Naxalites in village Nalajhar of Keshkal police station area of Kondagaon district. In that encounter, the Naxalites fled, but the soldiers recovered Naxal literature and weapons during the search of the area. DSP Naxal Satish Bhargava said that the soldiers had received information about the presence of Naxalites and as soon as they reached there, firing started between the two sides. The soldiers took strict action and gave a befitting reply to the Naxalites, forcing them to flee.

After the monsoon, the actions of the security forces have intensified in the Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh. The activities of the Naxalites are being closely monitored and vigilance has been increased to prevent large meetings. Due to this vigilance of the soldiers, effective action is being taken against the Naxalites, through which efforts are being made to restore peace in the area.
Such operations will continue continuously so that the oppression of Naxalites can be ended and development work can be facilitated in the affected areas.
