Famous cricketer Yash Dayal faces FIR over allegations of sexual exploitation, physical violence involving Ghaziabad woman

Ghaziabad: Serious allegations have been leveled against IPL champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal. A Ghaziabad girl accused him of sexually exploiting her by promising marriage. After which, the police, looking at some evidence, registered a case against Yash Dayal on Monday evening.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, on the complaint of the victim, Ghaziabad Police has registered a rape case against Yash Dayal under Section 69 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Police officials say that Yash Dayal can be arrested soon.

The victim said that she became friends with Yash Dayal on social media in the year 2019, which gradually turned into a relationship. The girl alleges that Yash had physical relations with her several times by promising marriage. The girl said that "He also took me to Bangalore, Delhi, and Prayagraj. He introduced me to his family and kept me with him for 5 years. Whenever I talked about marriage, he used to postpone it, citing his career."

Now refuses to marry

According to the victim, Yash recently broke all contacts. Blocked her from social media and WhatsApp. Apart from this, he flatly refused to marry. She was also beaten up when she protested.

Help was sought earlier too

The victim first called the women's helpline 181 on June 14, but no concrete action was taken. On June 21, she complained on the IGRS portal, and on June 25, she posted her pictures with Yash Dayal on Twitter, pleading for help from CM Yogi Adityanath. The victim has also handed over the records of chats, screenshots, and video calls to the police, describing herself as financially and socially helpless.

What action has the police taken now?

Ghaziabad Additional Police Commissioner Alok Priyadarshi said that an FIR has been registered against Yash Dayal on the basis of the girl's complaint. The victim will be medically examined soon, and statements will also be recorded in the court. Yash Dayal will be arrested soon. The police have already recorded the statements of the girl.

After the medical examination, statements will be taken in the court under section 164. The police say that the victim is an adult, so statements can be recorded in the court only after her permission.

Yash Dayal has been in controversy before as well. Two years ago, he had posted an allegedly anti-Muslim Instagram story, which was heavily criticized on social media. However, he later clarified that he did not post that post and someone had shared the story from his account.
