Meerut: TMKOC actor Lalit Manchanda dies by suicide

Meerut: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Lalit Manchanda found dead at his house in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

On April 21, the actor dead body was found hanging from a noose in his Meerut house. However, no suicide note was recovered from him.

Police have taken the dead body of 36-year-old Lalit Manchanda into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

Lalit Was Mentally Stressed

Preliminary findings suggested there was no evidence of foul play or third-party involvement. Reports revealed that the actor was mentally stressed and he was facing a financial crunch in Mumbai. In such a situation, he had returned to Meerut with his family about six months ago.

CINTAA Shared A Post

Lalit Manchandani death has come as a big shock to the TV industry and his fans. Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) has paid tribute to Lalit by posting on its Instagram account.
Sharing a picture of the actor, the association wrote- 'CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012).'

Lalit Manchanda Workfront

Lalit has starred in several Bollywood films and TV shows in supporting roles. He was also recently working on a web series. He had a role in the long-running comedy series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and was known for portraying the role of a father in DD National channel's Sevanchal Ki Premkatha. He also played key roles in TV shows like India's Most Wanted, Crime Patrol and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, among others.
