Unhappy wife calls husband impotent, demands ₹2 crore after wedding night

Bengaluru: A serious incident has emerged from Bengaluru's Govindarajanagar area, where a husband has filed a police complaint against his wife and her relatives, accusing them of harassment, assault, and demanding ₹2 crore (approximately $20 million). Just three months after their marriage, the dispute escalated to the point where the matter reached the police station.

No Physical Relationship

The husband is 35 years old, and his wife is 29 years old. They married on May 5, 2025, and subsequently resided together in Saptagiri Palace Apartments. The husband alleges that they had no physical relationship for three months after their marriage. Following this, the wife began accusing him of impotence, further escalating the dispute.

Medical Examination Clears Husband

The husband underwent a medical examination to prove his health, and doctors confirmed that he was completely healthy and physically capable. During the investigation, both were advised to reduce mental stress and maintain patience. Despite this, the wife's behavior became increasingly aggressive, and the accusations and counter-accusations continued.

Demand for ₹2 Crore and Allegation of Assault

According to the husband, the wife alleged that he had failed to fulfill his marital responsibilities, and therefore, she should be paid ₹2 crore as compensation. Subsequently, on August 17, 2025, the wife, along with some of her relatives, forcibly entered the husband's home. There, they attacked and assaulted the husband and his family and damaged household property.

Police files an FIR

Following the incident, the husband filed a complaint at the Govindarajanagar police station. Police registered a case against the wife and her relatives under sections 323 (assault), 506 (criminal intimidation), 452 (unlawful trespass), and 384 (extortion). The police are now investigating the matter thoroughly, questioning both parties.

Husband seeks help from BJP

Amidst this controversy, the husband has posted a video on social media, claiming that his wife is associated with the media wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and is using her political influence. The husband has appealed to the BJP leadership for justice and protection.

This case, which began as a domestic dispute, has touched upon political and social dimensions. The marital tensions and accusations between the husband and wife have soured the family atmosphere. A police investigation is underway, which will determine all facts through the judicial process.
