New Delhi: The trailer of Rani Mukerji’s upcoming action-thriller Mardaani 3 was unveiled on Monday, January 12, 2026. Directed by Abhiraj Minawal and written by Aayush Gupta, the film also stars Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad in pivotal roles.
The trailer opens with a chilling sequence of a young girl being kidnapped, accompanied by a stark statistic stating that “thousands of daughters go missing every week” in India. The grim visuals immediately set the film’s intense and socially relevant tone.
As reports emerge of two girls being abducted from Bulandshahr, Rani Mukerji’s character, Shivani Shivaji Roy, is summoned to Delhi’s NIA to lead the investigation. As she delves deeper, she uncovers a vast and sinister trafficking racket.
The case leads Shivani to a mysterious middle-aged woman, Amma, who operates the criminal network using small children. What follows is a gripping cat-and-mouse chase, with Shivani battling Amma’s reign of terror in a relentless pursuit of justice.
Mardaani 3 is shot by Artur Zurawski and edited by Yasha Jaidev Ramchandani. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Akshaye Widhani, the film is slated for a theatrical release on January 30, 2026.
