Mumbai: The troubles for Shilpa Shetty's husband and renowned businessman Raj Kundra continue unabated. Amidst allegations of a Rs 60 crore fraud, the case has taken a new turn. Reports suggest that some of the alleged fraudulent money was transferred to the bank accounts of film producer Ekta Kapoor, actresses Bipasha Basu, and Neha Dhupia. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police may soon issue notices to these three and question them, demanding details of their financial transactions.

Fraud Case And Investigation

The case came to light when businessman Deepak Kothari alleged that Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty's company defrauded him of ₹60 crore. The EOW is investigating the financial transactions of Raj Kundra's company to determine whether the funds were misused as alleged. Raj Kundra was questioned by the EOW for approximately five hours this week, during which he admitted to the financial transactions.

During this questioning, it emerged that Neha Dhupia, Ekta Kapoor, and Bipasha Basu's accounts were also involved in the transactions, thus adding to the celebrities' woes.

Best Deal TV and Celebrity Endorsements

The investigation also revealed that there was an e-commerce platform called 'Best Deal TV' which sold various products through celebrity endorsements on television. Several Bollywood stars promoted products on this channel and were paid by the company for their endorsements. Now, the EOW wants to know from these celebrities how much they were paid for these endorsements.

Lookout Notice Issued; Travel Restrictions

Considering the gravity of the case, the Mumbai Police has also issued a lookout notice against Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. This means that both will face difficulties traveling abroad as the police will be monitoring their movements.
