Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer to Hit Screens in Diwali 2026
New Delhi: One of the most anticipated Indian films, Ramayana, is set to arrive in cinemas as a two-part saga. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film will release its first installment during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
The makers have also planned a global IMAX release, aiming to present the mythological epic on an international scale.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, with Sai Pallavi portraying Sita. Yash takes on the role of Ravana, while Sunny Deol plays Hanuman. Actor Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman.
The casting has generated significant buzz, with audiences eager to see how the classic story is reimagined on screen.
Producer Namit Malhotra recently shared that a new glimpse from the film, titled “Rama,” will be unveiled on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on April 2. The announcement follows a message shared during Ram Navami, highlighting the team’s dedication to presenting the story with authenticity and scale.
The upcoming reveal is expected to offer fans their first detailed look at the film’s visual world.
Speaking at an international event, Ranbir Kapoor described Lord Ram as a timeless symbol of values such as compassion, courage and righteousness. He emphasised that the character continues to inspire generations and represents the triumph of human spirit over adversity.
