Police have intensified the investigation into the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence. Four accused from Pune have been arrested and sent to police custody till February 5 for their alleged role in planning the attack and arranging vehicles.

Mumbai: The police investigation into the firing incident at director Rohit Shetty's home has gained momentum. Four accused have been arrested so far in this sensational case and remanded in police custody until February 5th. The arrested accused have been identified as 19-year-old Aditya Gyaneshwar Gaikwad, 20-year-old Siddharth Deepak Yenpure, 18-year-old Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji, and 23-year-old Swapnil Bandu Sakat. All accused are said to be residents of Pune.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that these four accused were not directly involved in the firing, but rather in providing the vehicle and orchestrating the entire conspiracy. Police are now trying to determine the main accused in the firing and who gave them instructions. Further investigation into this matter is being conducted by the Mumbai Crime Branch.

A major twist in this case came when Shubham Lonkar, an alleged Bishnoi gang member, claimed responsibility for the firing at Rohit Shetty's house on social media. Following this, the police declared Shubham Lonkar a wanted accused. Several teams have been formed to search for him, and raids are being conducted at possible hideouts.
According to the police, the attacker arrived in the Juhu area on a bike. He parked his bike a short distance from Rohit Shetty's house and walked to Shetty Tower. He then fired outside the house and fled the scene. The investigation also revealed that before the incident, the attacker had spoken to an auto driver and asked him about a ride to Kalyan. The auto driver's statement has been recorded by the police.

Police have noticed similarities between the firing incidents at Rohit Shetty's and Salman Khan's houses. The modus operandi in both cases is said to be similar, which is why investigating agencies are also investigating this angle.
Following the firing incident, director Rohit Shetty is fully cooperating with the police investigation. His statement has been recorded. According to reports, he has canceled all his personal and professional engagements for the next two days. He has also requested his close friends not to visit him for the next 48 hours. The investigation into the case is currently underway.
