Iron deficiency can cause problems like fatigue, weakness, headaches, and shortness of breath. This condition is called anemia.

We can overcome iron deficiency through our diet; we simply need to include iron-rich foods in our diet. There are some superfoods that can quickly overcome iron deficiency.

Spinach
When talking about iron-rich foods, spinach is the first name that comes to mind. However, eating leafy vegetables is ideal for overcoming iron deficiency. However, spinach is considered an excellent source of iron. Eating 100 grams of spinach provides 2.7 mg of iron.

Beetroot
Beetroot, along with pomegranate, is also consumed in large quantities to increase blood counts. Along with iron, beetroot also provides folic acid and fiber. You can include it in your diet in the form of salads, juices, raita, and parathas. If you are iron deficient, you should definitely eat one beetroot daily.

Soybeans
A powerhouse of protein and fiber, soybeans can also be consumed to overcome iron deficiency. Most importantly, just 100 grams of soybeans provide 15.7 mg of iron. You can include tofu, boiled soybeans, or soy milk in your diet.

Jaggery and Sesame
Jaggery and sesame laddus have been consumed since our grandmothers’ times and are considered a traditional source of iron. Sesame seeds contain iron, calcium, and magnesium, which detoxify our bodies. Eating these together replenishes iron and helps alleviate weakness.
