Modi Sets New Record

Prime Minister Modi crossed the milestone of 4,399 consecutive days in office on Wednesday, surpassing the record of Jawaharlal Nehru. Modi first assumed office on May 26, 2014, after the BJP-led NDA secured a decisive victory in the general elections.

He went on to win consecutive mandates in 2019 and 2024, becoming the first non-Congress leader to complete three successive terms as Prime Minister. The achievement has been marked by congratulatory messages from leaders in India and abroad, with Meloni's message emerging as one of the most prominent international endorsements of the milestone.
