Doha: A military helicopter crashed in Qatar's territorial waters on Sunday, killing at least six people on board, while one remains missing. Rescue and relief operations are underway.

Technical malfunction was cause of accident

According to the Qatar government and the Ministry of Defense, the helicopter was on routine duty when it experienced a technical malfunction, causing it to lose control and plunge into the sea. Preliminary investigations have identified this as the primary cause of the accident.

Seven people were on board helicopter
