New York: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address at the United Nations General Assembly turned into a highly charged session after several delegates left the hall as he began speaking. Netanyahu used the global platform to defend Israel’s position and respond to growing international criticism.
During his speech, the Israeli prime minister focused on security concerns, regional threats and his government’s stance on Iran. He accused Tehran of pursuing policies that threaten Israel and regional stability, while highlighting what he described as the need for stronger action against security challenges.
Netanyahu also criticised those who have opposed Israel’s actions, including New York politician Zohran Mamdani, who has been vocal about his views on Israel’s policies. Netanyahu’s UN appearance highlighted the continuing divide between Israel and several countries over security concerns, humanitarian issues and diplomatic approaches in the Middle East.
