New Delhi: As temperatures begin to climb across India, skincare experts advise a seasonal reset to prevent breakouts, sun damage and dehydration. Rising heat, humidity and stronger UV exposure can significantly impact the skin barrier, making it essential to tweak daily routines.

Switch to Lightweight Cleansers

Dermatologists recommend replacing heavy cream-based cleansers with gentle, foaming or gel-based options. During summer, sweat and excess oil production increase, especially for those with combination or oily skin. A mild cleanser used twice daily helps remove dirt, sunscreen and pollution without stripping natural moisture.

Over-cleansing, however, can worsen oil production. Experts caution against washing the face more than two to three times a day.

Don’t Skip Sunscreen
