Maharashtra: Suspicious boat spotted off Raigad coast; Alert issued

The boat was last seen at a distance of about 2 nautical miles from Korlai coast in Revdanda, Raigad. Raigad police became active as soon as this information was received.

Mumbai: A suspicious boat seen in Raigad district of Maharashtra has created a stir. Security forces have been alerted.

Coast Guard and all investigation agencies including the Indian Navy are engaged in searching for the boat.

The boat was last seen at a distance of about 2 nautical miles from Korlai coast in Revdanda, Raigad.

Raigad police became active as soon as this information was received. Police is searching for the boat, but nothing has been found so far.

Foreign symbols seen on the boat
The sighting of the suspicious boat has created a stir in the entire area. Apart from Raigad Police, the bomb disposal squad, Navy and Coast Guard have been alerted. According to initial investigation, marks of foreign symbols have also been seen on the boat.
