Waterlogging, but the situation is under control

Between 8 pm and 11 pm, South Mumbai received an average of 12.86 mm of rain, eastern suburbs 15.65 mm, and western suburbs 26.63 mm. Traffic was disrupted due to waterlogging in the Andheri subway, but there was no major problem in the rest of the city.

No major accident

There were no serious accidents except a tree falling and a short circuit incident. Local train services remained normal, although some passengers complained of minor delays.

Weather department forecast

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that heavy rains may occur in many areas of Maharashtra between May 21 and 24. The reason for this is the cyclonic circulation system forming near the Karnataka coast in the Arabian Sea, which may turn into a low-pressure area around May 22.

Winds will blow at a speed of 40 km per hour

According to meteorologist Shubhangi Bhute, due to this system, strong winds (30-40 km per hour) may blow in Mumbai, South Konkan, and South-Central Maharashtra, and heavy rains may occur with thunder. Copious rainfall can also occur in suburb.

People have been advised to be alert.

The Meteorological Department is monitoring the situation. People have been advised to be alert during the rain and avoid unnecessary travel.

Let us tell you that the period of severe heat has started across the state. In such a situation, the heat has made life miserable for people. Talking about UP, here too the districts are experiencing severe heat. But the weather department has issued an alert regarding rain in the coming days.
