The ‘Sarke Chunar’ song from KD: The Devil has been removed from platforms after legal complaints and public outrage, with the NHRC stepping in and seeking action over alleged obscene content.

The song is part of the upcoming multilingual film KD- The Devil
Mumbai: The controversy surrounding the song “Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke” from KD: The Devil has intensified, with the track being removed from YouTube and other streaming platforms following legal complaints and public backlash.
The song, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, had drawn criticism over its lyrics and visuals, which some have described as inappropriate.
In the latest development, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice in connection with the controversy. The move follows a complaint filed by advocate and social activist Vineet Jindal, who approached the Delhi Police cyber cell seeking action against those associated with the song.
In his complaint, Jindal alleged that the song contains sexually suggestive and obscene content unsuitable for public consumption. He argued that such material could adversely impact young audiences.
The complaint also referred to possible violations under Section 294 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), provisions of the POCSO Act, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
He further named key contributors linked to the track, including lyricist Raqeeb Alam, director Prem, composer Arjun Janya, and singer Mangli.
Amid mounting pressure, the makers of the film have taken down the song and its Kannada version from YouTube and other platforms. Users searching for the track have reported that it is no longer available. However, the film’s makers have not issued an official statement on the development so far.

With regulatory scrutiny increasing and legal proceedings underway, the controversy may impact the film’s promotional campaign. Further action is expected based on the responses from authorities and stakeholders involved.
