Odisha: Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, is set to visit Bhubaneswar, Odisha, to address a press conference and interact with stakeholders on the sidelines of the “VISION INDIA: Plan • Develop • Ascent – Holistic Health Summit”, scheduled for January 17, 2026, at Taj Vivanta, Bhubaneswar.

The press conference will focus on crucial national issues including holistic health, inclusive development, social justice, and a progressive roadmap for India’s future. Samajwadi Party Launches ‘Vision India’

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has unveiled an ambitious nationwide youth outreach campaign under its new initiative ‘Vision India’, aiming to connect with young Indians ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The campaign will kick off with the Vision India Startup Summit in Bengaluru on November 16, before expanding to other cities across the country.

Announcing the programme at a press conference held at the SP headquarters in Lucknow, party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said Vision India represents a roadmap for a progressive, inclusive, and forward-looking New India. He stressed that the initiative is designed to counter divisive politics by highlighting development, innovation, and unity.

Focus on Youth and Development Vision

Akhilesh Yadav said the initiative will showcase the SP government’s development record while addressing the aspirations and challenges of today’s youth. Emphasising the party’s governance track record, he cited projects such as the Agra–Lucknow Expressway, improvements in health and education infrastructure, the solar policy, and the distribution of 50 lakh LED bulbs in Uttar Pradesh.

“Our politics is based on vision, not division. The youth of today are progressive, inclusive, and future-oriented. Vision can counter negativity and divisive thinking,” Akhilesh said.

Leadership and Organisation

The event is being organised and coordinated by Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev Rai, who serves as the Chief Coordinator of Vision India. Under his leadership, the summit seeks to foster meaningful dialogue between political leadership, experts, and the media.

Senior leaders, domain experts, and Vision India representatives will also be present, adding depth and diversity to the discussions.

Bengaluru Chosen as Launchpad

Explaining why Bengaluru was selected for the first event, Akhilesh said the city is a startup and technology hub, aligning with SP’s focus on innovation, employment, and opportunities for young Indians. He confirmed that he will personally attend all Vision India programmes across the country.
