New Delhi: Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav expressed serious concerns about the rapidly growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential misuse at the Vision India program held in Hyderabad.
He stated that AI is a technology that can make human life easier, but if used without control and monitoring, it can become a major threat to society.
According to Akhilesh Yadav, the misuse of AI can give rise to many problems. He specifically mentioned cybercrime, fake news, data theft, and violation of privacy.

Akhilesh Yadav questioned the government regarding the increasing cybercrimes in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the highest number of cyber frauds in the country are being registered in UP.

The situation has become so serious that the State Bank of India (SBI) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have to run advertisements to warn people. This shows that the government machinery is still weak in terms of cybersecurity and the general public is at risk.
The SP chief demanded that a strong law be brought in Parliament to regulate the use of AI. He said that through the AI Regulation Bill, its misuse, data privacy violations, and fake news can be curbed. He believes that the expansion of AI without a legal framework can be detrimental to society.
Akhilesh Yadav also highlighted the positive aspects of AI. He said that AI can be used to control electricity theft and reduce losses in the energy sector. In addition, AI can bring about significant changes in the field of education.
Especially for children who have dropped out of primary education, AI can provide affordable, accessible, and high-quality education.
In his address, Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned future technologies. He said that wireless electricity supply, similar to Wi-Fi, might be possible in the future. However, he also clarified that this technology is still in its initial stages and requires extensive research and development.
