80 MPs have signed the proposal demanding Bharat Ratna for Dalai Lama. Signatures of 20 other MPs are yet to be obtained. This proposal will be submitted after signatures of 100 MPs.
A befitting reply given to China
Responding to China's comment on the successor of Dalai Lama, Sujit Kumar said that China has no right to choose the successor of Dalai Lama.
The forum has decided to raise the issue of Tibet on different platforms. It will also be discussed in Parliament.
China's concern increased on the successor
Let us tell you that on July 2, Dalai Lama, while announcing his successor, handed over this right to Gaden Phodrang Trust, which was founded by Dalai Lama himself. But, China objected to his decision and reacted strongly.
China says that choosing the successor of Dalai Lama is its internal matter and this decision will be taken by the Chinese government.
