New Delhi: Residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region are likely to face hotter and more humid conditions over the next five days, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting only isolated light rain and no major weather warning.

The weather department has maintained a “no warning” status for the entire week. Although brief spells of rain or thunderstorms may occur at isolated locations, widespread or heavy rainfall is not expected.

Temperature Likely to Climb

On Saturday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of around 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of nearly 26 degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to rise gradually due to prolonged sunny periods and limited rainfall.

For Sunday, July 12, the maximum temperature is likely to touch 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may remain near 27 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy, but strong sunshine could dominate for most of the day.

Humidity levels are also likely to remain high, adding to the discomfort. Morning humidity may hover around 71 per cent, while winds could blow at approximately 11 kilometres per hour.

Similar Weather Until July 16

On Monday, July 13, the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 38 degrees Celsius, with the minimum rising to nearly 29 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies are forecast, with humidity ranging from 80 per cent in the morning to around 65 per cent by evening.

Similar conditions are expected on July 14. On July 15 and 16, the sky may remain generally cloudy, but temperatures are unlikely to fall significantly.

No Heavy Rain Warning

Despite the possibility of scattered showers, the weather department has not issued any heavy rain, thunderstorm or heat-related alert for Delhi-NCR. Residents may therefore continue to experience a combination of high temperatures, humidity and occasional cloud cover throughout the week.
