Six Held in Tiruppur, Two in West Bengal
New Delhi: In a major operation by the Delhi Police, eight people have been arrested on suspicion of plotting a terrorist conspiracy. Six of these suspects were apprehended from Tiruppur district in Tamil Nadu, while two were detained in West Bengal. The arrested suspects have been identified as Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat, Umar, Mohammad Litan, Mohammad Shahid, and Mohammad Ujjal. According to sources, all suspects are being handed over to the Delhi Police for further questioning.
According to information received from security agencies, the accused are suspected to have links with Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, and Bangladesh-based terrorist organizations. A Bangladeshi national is reportedly among those arrested. Investigating agencies are thoroughly investigating this entire network.

Police recovered eight mobile phones and 16 SIM cards from the accused. Preliminary investigations have also revealed that the suspects were using fake Aadhaar cards for identification. Forensic examination of the digital devices is underway to uncover possible connections and connections.
This arrest comes at a time when intelligence agencies had warned that the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba was plotting to target Delhi's Red Fort and other major religious sites. Sources say this plot was being hatched following the suicide bombing at a mosque in Islamabad on February 6, which killed 31 people and injured over 160. The Islamic State (IS) had claimed responsibility for that attack.
