Former Indian cricketer and current coach Gautam Gambhir visited the world-famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He attended the early morning Bhasma Aarti, chanted “Om Namah Shivaya,” and offered prayers to Baba Mahakal.

Ujjain: The world-famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, once again witnessed the arrival of VIP devotees on Friday. Former Indian cricket team player and current coach Gautam Gambhir arrived at the temple of Baba Mahakal early in the morning. He participated in the divine Bhasma Aarti held at 4 a.m. and worshipped Lord Shiva with full devotion.
Gautam Gambhir had arrived in Ujjain the previous night. He entered the temple premises around 4 a.m. and sat in the Nandi Hall to witness the Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal. During this time, he appeared completely immersed in Shiva's devotion. During the Bhasma Aarti, he chanted the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" and appeared engrossed in meditation.
Gambhir remained in the temple premises for about two and a half hours. He departed the temple at 6:30 a.m. He received a special welcome from the temple administration. Assistant Administrator Ashish Falwadia, on behalf of the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee, honored him by presenting him with Prasad and a picture of Baba Mahakal.
After the darshan, Gautam Gambhir, speaking to the media, said that he prayed to Baba Mahakal for the prosperity and strength of the country. He said, "I prayed to Baba that everyone should be happy, the country should progress, and we should become stronger." He also expressed his desire to visit Ujjain again to visit Baba Mahakal.
Gautam Gambhir praised the darshan arrangements at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, saying that the arrangements were excellent. He had darshan of Baba Mahakal without any hassle. He said that he wishes Baba Mahakal would call him to his court again.
This is not the first time Gautam Gambhir has visited Ujjain to visit Baba Mahakal. He has previously participated in the Bhasma Aarti and described the divine aarti as supernatural and grand. This time too, his spiritual experience was special, which once again demonstrated his deep faith.
