Ahmedabad: Bilateral relations between India and Germany could take a major turn on Monday. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has arrived in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on a two-day visit to India. During this visit, he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this, a partnership is possible between Germany's leading defense company Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and India's Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. If approved, it would be one of the largest contracts in India's defense sector to date.
