New Delhi: There is a job opportunity for the youth who want to make their career in the service of the country. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released recruitment for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for these posts by visiting the official website (fcat.cdac.in).

Number of posts

A total of 284 posts will be recruited through this recruitment.

Application date

Interested applicants can fill out their application from June 2. The last date to apply is July 1, 2025.

Age Limit

  • Flying Branch: The applicant must be at least 20 years of age, and the maximum age is 24 years for the Flying Branch. The maximum age limit is relaxed up to 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India).
  • Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: The minimum age for Ground Duty is 20 years, and the upper age limit is 26 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Flying Branch

For Flying Branch, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level and a three-year bachelor's degree or BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty

For Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) (AE (L)), candidates must have minimum 60% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level and a bachelor's/master's degree in engineering and technology from a recognized university.

How will the selection be done?

The selection process of the candidates for AFCAT 2 2025 will include a written test, an AFSB test, and a medical examination. AFCAT is conducted to select candidates for admission to Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches/NCC Special Entry.

So many seats will be reserved.

NCC Special Entry: 10% of the total COSE vacancies of Permanent Commission and 10% of the total AFCAT vacancies of Short Service Commission (SSC) are reserved for NCC candidates.
