Trump Forms ‘Board of Peace’ for Gaza, Invites India to Join
New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has taken a major step towards peace and reconstruction after the prolonged war in Gaza by establishing an international organization called the "Board of Peace." India has also been invited to join this board. The conflict between Hamas and Israel, which has been ongoing since 2023, has plunged Gaza into extreme devastation. The situation deteriorated to the point where images of starvation and malnutrition emerged. Following this, a ceasefire was reached under Trump's 20-point peace deal, and now this new framework has emerged regarding Gaza's future.
The Board of Peace's primary objective is to establish lasting peace in Gaza through governance monitoring, reconstruction, and economic investment. According to Trump, this board will function like a temporary international government. Its focus is to de-arm Gaza, deliver humanitarian aid, rebuild infrastructure, and establish a technical Palestinian administration.

According to the White House, the Board of Peace will be chaired by President Donald Trump himself. This board will oversee all major changes in Gaza after the war. Governance reform, regional cooperation, reconstruction projects, and raising international funding will be its key agendas.
This board will include several influential global figures. These include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's close ally and special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, billionaire businessman Marc Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and US Deputy National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel Jr.
Alongside the main board, the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) has been formed, headed by Palestinian technocrat Dr. Ali Shaath. This committee will work to restore health, education, finance, security, and municipal services. In addition, there will be a Gaza Executive Board, which will include representatives from Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel, the UAE, and the United Nations.
