For aspirants aiming for engineering institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) or National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the JEE Main serves as a critical step. Students now have two separate opportunities to take the exam—allowing a second attempt within the same academic cycle. This flexibility is significant for preparation strategies, performance planning and handling unexpected disruptions.
The NTA will begin auto‑fetching key candidate details from the Aadhaar database; such as name, date of birth, gender, photograph and address to streamline registration and reduce manual errors.
The number of exam cities is set to expand, improving access especially for candidates in remote regions.
Special provisions for Persons with Disabilities (PwD/PwBD) have also been reaffirmed to ensure inclusive participation.
Update documents: Ensure your Aadhaar, school certificate details and category certificates are accurate—name mismatches can cause registration rejection.
Mark your calendars: With registration opening soon, plan to apply early and avoid last‑minute rush.
Check eligibility: Make sure you meet the criteria for 2026 and have the required academic qualifications in place.
Prepare for both sessions: Given the dual‑session structure, consider preparing contingencies—if Session 1 doesn’t go as planned, candidates have Session 2 to rebound.
