Ranchi: All seven persons on board, including two crew members, an air ambulance that crashed in Chatra district were killed, said the officials.

The Redbird Airways Pvt Ltd Beechcraft C90 air ambulance that crashed near Simaria in Chatra district was en route from Ranchi to Delhi.

Deceases Identified
The deceased have been identified as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat, Captain Savrajdeep Singh, Dr Vikas Kumar Gupta, Sachin Kumar Mishra, Sanjay Kumar, Archana Devi and Dhuru Kumar.

An official said that the aircraft took off from Ranchi airport at 7 pm and went missing around 7.30 pm. It lost contact with the air traffic control about 20 minutes after departure.

Ranchi airport director Vinod Kumar said inclement weather could be a possible reason behind the crash, though the exact cause would be ascertained after a detailed probe.

The whole of Chatra district is enveloped in severe grief and shock.
