Will Kushinagar’s development projects finally pick up speed? At a high-level review meeting, the district in-charge minister issued strict directions on jobs, roads, health and infrastructure signaling a push for faster delivery and tighter monitoring.
Minister Orders Timely Completion of Development Works
Kushinagar: A comprehensive review meeting of development projects and law-and-order situation in Kushinagar district was held under the chairmanship of district in-charge minister Dinesh Pratap Singh at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium.
During the department-wise review, the minister directed officials to ensure effective implementation of government schemes and timely completion of ongoing works while maintaining high quality standards.

He emphasized the need to generate maximum employment under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and ensure that all job card holders are provided work as per targets.

Reviewing the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM), the minister instructed officials to promote the formation of new Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and increase the number of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). He also asked for a list of SHGs running large-scale businesses and suggested organizing interactions during his upcoming visits.
While reviewing works under the Rural Engineering Department (RED), he directed that construction projects be completed within stipulated timelines and handed over without delay. Projects recently initiated should also be completed on schedule, he added.
During the review of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), the minister directed officials to identify habitations not yet connected under the scheme. He stressed transparency in the selection process and consultation with public representatives. He also called for quality maintenance and timely completion of road projects.
In the revenue department review, officials informed that old pending cases under various sections had been prioritized for disposal. The minister directed continuous monitoring of real-time land records and proper distribution of property cards under the Swamitva Yojana through special camps.

Reviewing the health department, the minister instructed officials to increase the number of beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme and ensure availability of essential medicines and equipment at all health centres.
In agriculture, he directed that all eligible applications under government schemes be approved and crop insurance coverage expanded. He also instructed uniform deployment of veterinary officers across tehsils.
The minister later inspected the new mandi site in Padrauna and directed officials to ensure quality construction and improved infrastructure, including a farmer rest house, water facilities and plantation.
Officials were instructed to ensure coordinated efforts for efficient governance and public welfare in the district.
