JP Nadda Visits Injured CJP Protesters at RML Hospital (Img: X)
New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday visited Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and met protesters injured during the CJP-led demonstration over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination.
Nadda also held discussions with doctors regarding the condition and treatment of those admitted to the hospital. His visit came a day after clashes broke out between protesters and Delhi Police during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march towards Parliament.

Earlier, Nadda met CJP representatives Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das at his residence. The delegation submitted a written memorandum containing three key demands.
These included the resignation or removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation of ₹1 crore each for families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide, and the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk.
CJP representatives said Nadda had agreed to place their demands before the appropriate level of the government, although no formal assurance was given.

Monday’s protest witnessed clashes after demonstrators attempted to move towards Parliament. Delhi Police used lathis and tear gas to stop the march.

Police claimed more than 118 personnel were injured and accused protesters of throwing stones, damaging public property and trying to breach barricades. Around 60 demonstrators were also reported injured.
The CJP, however, accused police of using excessive force against students and other participants. The organisation said its agitation would continue until its demands were addressed.
