Last chance to apply for Agniveer Vayu Posts; Registration open till this date

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has extended the application deadline for Agniveer Vayu posts to 4th August 2025. The recruitment is open to students who have passed Class 12 or completed a diploma or vocational course. The selection process consists of four stages, including a written exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and a medical check-up.

New Delhi: Good news for young people who want to apply for the Agniveer Vayu posts in the Indian Air Force. The application deadline has been extended, and now candidates can apply online until 4th August 2025. Earlier, the deadline was July 31, but it has now been moved forward by four days, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

This recruitment is a great chance for students who have passed Class 12 as well as those who have completed a diploma or vocational course.

Different requirements for science and non-science students

For students in the science stream:

- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognized board.
- They must have scored at least 50% overall and a minimum of 50% in English.

For those with a three-year engineering diploma in relevant fields like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or IT, the requirement is:

- The candidate must have passed the diploma with a minimum of 50% marks in English.

For non-science students:

- They must have passed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% overall and a minimum of 50% in English.
- Or passed a two-year vocational course with at least 50% marks and 50% in English.

Age Requirements:

- Candidates must be between 17.5 and 21 years old.
- They must have been born between 2nd July 2005 and 2nd January 2009.

IAF AgniVeer Vayu Selection Process:

The process consists of four stages. Selection is based on a written exam, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and a medical check-up.

Physical Standards:

- Male candidates must run 1.6 kilometers in 7 minutes.
- Female candidates must cover the same distance in 8 minutes.
- Other physical exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats will also be tested.

Application Fee:

- Candidates need to pay an online application fee of Rs 550.

Facilities During Service:

- Selected candidates will get medical insurance worth Rs 48 lakh over four years of service.
- There is no provision for gratuity.
- They will be able to use Air Force hospitals and CSD canteens.
- They will get 30 days of general leave each year, along with sick leave if needed.
