Srinagar: The Chief Minister's Office of Jammu and Kashmir has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the deceased killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the Dynamite News correspondent, apart from this, an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh for the minor injured has also been released. The Chief Minister's Office issued a statement on the development, describing it as a deep shock and strongly condemning the attack.

Statement of Chief Minister's Office

The Chief Minister's Office said in the statement, "We are deeply shocked by the despicable terrorist attack in Pahalgam yesterday. We are deeply saddened by this heinous attack. This barbaric and senseless act of brutality against innocent civilians has no place in our society. We strongly condemn it and condole the precious lives lost in this attack."

The statement further said, "No amount of money can compensate for the loss of loved ones, but as a mark of support and solidarity, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh each for the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh each for the minor injured."

Treatment and other assistance to the injured

The Chief Minister's Office also informed that all necessary arrangements are being made to bring the victims back to their homes. Along with this, the best medical care is being provided to the injured, so that no stone is left unturned in their speedy recovery.

Condolence and commitment to strict action

The Chief Minister expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families and said, "We express our condolences to the bereaved families. We share your grief and stand with you in this difficult time. We will never accept this act of terrorists in our society. These attacks will never break our resolve against terrorists."

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also said, "We will not rest until the people behind this barbarism are brought to justice." The Jammu and Kashmir government will take action in this matter with utmost seriousness and will take every possible step to ensure that the culprits get severe punishment.
