As a result of these sustained efforts, several States and UTs-namely Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, and Uttar Pradesh-have already deployed Tourist Police.

One youth was killed and two others were injured when their motorcycle was hit by an unknown speeding vehicle on the Banda-Bahraich highway in the Shivgarh police station area in Bachhrawan town here in Raebareli.
