      Gujarat: All ministers resign except CM Bhupendra Patel

      A major reshuffle is underway in Gujarat politics. All ministers in the government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel resigned from their posts today (Thursday). The cabinet expansion will now take place on Friday, 17 October 2025, at 11:30 am.

      When will farmers receive next PM Kisan Installment?

      The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is a significant scheme launched by the central government to provide financial assistance to farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given a total of Rs 6,000 in three installments every year. Each installment is Rs 2,000 and is transferred to farmers' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

      Twenty installments of the PM Kisan Yojana have been released so far. The last, the 20th installment, was released on August 2, 2025. Farmers are now eagerly awaiting the 21st installment. This installment was expected to arrive before Diwali, but no official date has been announced yet.

      Bihar Elections: JDU releases final list of 44 candidates for state polls

      CM Nitish Kumar-headed JDU released on Thursday its final list of 44 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls.

      Previously, the JDU had released a list of 57 candidates. Thus, the JDU, a constituent of the NDA, has released its list of candidates for all 101 seats in its quota.

      The last date for filing nominations for the first phase of the Bihar elections is tomorrow, October 17th. Several prominent leaders will also file their nominations today.
