New Delhi: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India, Gyanesh Kumar has given a big statement regarding the voting in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. He said that after independence, the highest voting percentage has been recorded in these two states so far. The Election Commission saluted all the voters on this historic participation. CEC said that this is a big sign of the strength of democracy.
These figures represent the highest level since independence.
This time both the states have broken their own old records.
Another special thing was that in both the states, women voted more than men. This reflects changing social trends and increasing awareness. Such a large voting percentage shows that people are becoming more aware of their rights. This is a positive sign for democracy and also creates a strong foundation for future elections.
