New Delhi: All four astronauts, including Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, have entered the International Space Station (ISS). Shubhanshu Shukla said that this journey is not just his, but of the whole country. The command of this mission is in the hands of India's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who will spend 14 days in the space station.

The astronauts already present in the station welcomed him warmly, and he was also given a welcome drink.

Premature docking of the Dragon capsule

Under the Axiom-4 mission, Shubhanshu Shukla's Dragon capsule connected with the space station 20 minutes before the scheduled time. After this, air leakage and pressure stability were tested as part of the security check. Shubhanshu's mother watched this docking live and became emotional.

Reaction of family members

His father, Shambhu Dayal Shukla, said, "We are very happy and thank God that everything was successful. We are proud of our son." His sister, Shuchi Mishra, said, "This moment is a proud moment not only for our family but for the entire country. We pray that he remains safe and this mission is completed successfully."

Key information of the mission

The spacecraft connected with the space station on June 26, 2025, at 4:05 pm Indian time after a journey of about 28.5 hours. SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket took off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:01 pm on June 25.

More than 60 scientific experiments will be conducted on the ISS

Under the Axiom-4 mission, Shubhanshu and his team have to stay on the International Space Station for about 14 days. During this time they will carry out about 60 scientific experiments. These experiments include microgravity, the effects of space on the human body, testing of new medicines, and research related to the environment.

This is considered to be the most scientifically rich mission of the Axiom mission so far.

A proud moment for India

This flight of Shubhanshu Shukla is a new beginning for India. While ISRO is already making the country proud with missions like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan, now, with private and international cooperation, Indian scientists and travelers are getting opportunities on the global stage. This journey of Shubhanshu will prove to be inspirational for the generations to come.
