TPF to host National Legal Conference
New Delhi: Dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by 2047, based on transparency, self-reliance, innovation, and citizen empowerment, the Terapanth Professional Forum (TPF), a national platform with over 11,000 professional members, will organize the "TPF Responsibility: National Legal Conference on Combating White-Collar Crime" on 11 October at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal is expected to attend the conference. Distinguished leaders such as Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport and Highways, former Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD and CEO of the National Stock Exchange, Dr MS Sahu, former Chairman of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, and Rakesh Asthana, former Special Director of the CBI and former Commissioner of Delhi Police. In addition, Supreme Court and High Court judges, senior advocates, Attorneys General, Additional Solicitors General, and senior officials from various regulatory bodies will participate in the conference.
The conference will discuss various aspects of white-collar crime, such as banking and corporate fraud, cybercrime, tax evasion, insider trading, and regulatory lapses, through keynote addresses and expert panel discussions. It aims to pave the way for stronger enforcement, improved compliance culture, and increased personal accountability.
Lawyers, chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, educators, researchers, and other related professionals will participate in the event. Participants will be encouraged to consider themselves as vigilant and active whistleblowers at the national level.
TPF National President Himath Jain said, "White-collar crime is not just an economic crime, but also a moral crime that undermines public trust. TPF Abiwadi is the voice of our conscience. If we promote trust in our systems, awareness of civic duty, and personal integrity, we can transform into a nation that stands united against white-collar crime."
National Convenor Advocate Raj Kumar Nahata also supported the initiative, saying, "Our goal is to combine professional excellence with moral responsibility. At TPF Abiwadi, we will bring together diverse professional voices to create an effective roadmap that will curb white-collar crime and protect India's development credentials."
