4 dead after car collides with tractor-trolley in UP
Kushinagar: Near Baghi Kuti of Pateharwa in the district, on Sunday afternoon at 12:30, a car coming from Tamkuhiraj collided with a tractor trolley, due to which the car was blown to pieces. In this accident, two people died on the spot, while two were declared dead during treatment at Tamkuhiraj CHC. The remaining two injured are undergoing treatment.
All the people are said to be residents of Kotwali town of Siddharthnagar, who were returning after visiting Babadham. The deceased include Kailash Mani Tripathi (50), Manoj Singh (40), Ramkaran Gupta (50) and Sujit Jaiswal (55). The driver Sushant Sharma (35) and Rajesh Sharma (50), who were sitting in front before the airbag opened, both are residents of Pt. Deendayal Nagar Siddharthnagar, who are undergoing treatment and are uncle-nephew. There were six people in the car including the driver.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver was backing the tractor-trolley loaded with soil on the four-lane when suddenly a car hit it from the side. On hearing the loud explosion, people reached the spot and started trying to break the badly damaged car and take it out. By then, the police force of Pateharwa and Tamkuhiraj reached the spot.
Meanwhile, CO Tamkuhiraj Rakesh Pratap Singh and other police personnel are busy in resuming the traffic. According to the CO, the driver told that he had left Jharkhand at 10 pm on Saturday night. The accident happened due to a sudden nap. The CO said that the names of the mohallas of the deceased have been found out and information has been given to the relatives. The family members are also reaching there. The police is busy in taking necessary action.
