Dehradun: Entry of non-Hindus may soon be prohibited in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham, as well as in all other temples under the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) if A resolution to this effect is passed in the upcoming Board meeting of the BKTC.

Non-Hindus Entry To Be Banned

Speaking to the media, BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said, "The entry of non-Hindus will be prohibited in all temples under the temple committee, including Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. A resolution will be passed in the upcoming board meeting of the temple committee for this purpose."

Dwivedi further said, "Protecting the religious and cultural traditions of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is paramount. Traditionally, the entry of non-Hindus has been restricted in the chain of temples established from Kedar Khand to Manas Khand, but these traditions have been violated during the tenure of non-BJP governments. Strict steps will be taken to ensure the proper adherence to these traditions."
