One devotee died after boulder roll down
Dehradun: A tragic accident took place on Saturday morning during the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham. A pilgrim died after being hit by a boulder that fell from a hill near Chhodi Gadhera on the Shri Kedarnath Yatra route, about a kilometer above Gaurikund.
The Gaurikund police post received information about this incident at around 10 am. As soon as the information was received, the Yatra Management Force of the District Administration and the Police team reached the spot and the deceased pilgrim was brought to Gaurikund Hospital. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Parmeshwar Bhim Rao Khawal. He was a resident of Vadgan Kolhati, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
After this accident, the district administration immediately launched a relief and rescue operation. Officials are constantly alerting the pilgrims and advising them to go to safe places.
The pilgrimage started after a four-day ban
The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has been resumed after a four-day ban. More than a thousand pilgrims have been sent to the Dham. Due to continuous rain, security personnel have been deployed at various places for the safety of the pilgrims.

In heavy rain, pilgrims are being stopped at safe places. Vineet Posti, a member of Badri Kedar Temple Committee, has appealed to the pilgrims to travel only after looking at the weather. He has advised to avoid traveling in heavy rain.
