Will India Attack Pakistan? (Image Source: Internet)
New Delhi: It has been two weeks since the Pahalgam attack. Indians ask every day, what steps will India take? How will India respond to this?
This time, the statements from the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Defence Minister have made it clear that not only terrorists but also their backers would be eliminated and uprooted, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
India has taken some concrete steps almost immediately, like diplomatic steps: halting the Indus Water Treaty, cancelling Pakistani visas, closing its airspace, and isolating Pakistan on the world stage.
The Prime Minister held a meeting with the three service chiefs, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), the National Security Advisor (NSA), and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
The Indian Army was given a free hand to respond to the situation. It’s important to note that every situation is unique. The circumstances in 2016 were different, as Pakistan had not anticipated that we would carry out such a military operation against them.
In 2019, Pakistan had anticipated an army attack, not an airstrike. But India surprised them with its air force and efficiently did the 2019 Balakot airstrike.
But this time, both countries are fully prepared. Pakistan has also brought its army to the border. We have heard that their air force, etc., is all ready. So, there is no need to rush in such a situation.
We know that this government, and especially the prime minister, does not hesitate to take concrete steps.
Let the armies decide whether they want to use the army, air force, or navy. But this time, peace should be permanent. Those who promote terrorism and send it to India should get such an answer that they do not even think about it again.
What things can be included in it?
Pakistan did not stop flourishing terrorism even after getting a huge blow from India in terms of surgical and air strikes.
The Indian government has tried its best to put pressure on Pakistan on international forums. Pakistan's weakening economy is being targeted as an economic pressure.
Apart from increasing pressure on Pakistan on global forums, strong pressure is also being exerted on Pakistan through organizations like the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
India must adopt a comprehensive and long-term strategy that involves not only military action but also economic and political pressure on Pakistan. A strong message must be sent to Pakistan's military leadership that if it does not stop promoting terrorism, the consequences will be severe.
