New Delhi: Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited film Jana Nayagan witnessed a decline in its box office earnings on its sixth day of release. Despite the drop in daily collections, the Tamil action thriller continues to attract audiences and maintain a steady run in theatres.

Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan was released on July 23, 2026, and is being seen as Vijay's final film before he fully steps into politics. The movie opened strongly at the Indian box office, collecting ₹42.70 crore on its opening day.

Jana Nayagan Day 6 Collection

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan earned around ₹8 crore in India on Day 6 across more than 10,000 shows. With this, the film's total domestic collection reached approximately ₹143.40 crore.

The film recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 25.73% on its sixth day. Evening shows witnessed the highest occupancy at 31.15%, followed by night shows at 30%, afternoon shows at 22.69% and morning shows at 19.08%.

Day-Wise Box Office Performance

The film had a strong opening but saw fluctuations during its first week:

• Day 1: ₹42.70 crore
• Day 2: ₹21.15 crore
• Day 3: ₹28.90 crore
• Day 4: ₹32 crore
• Day 5: ₹10.65 crore
• Day 6: ₹8 crore

The total India collection currently stands at ₹143.40 crore.

Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹240 Crore

Globally, Jana Nayagan has performed strongly, earning around ₹167.57 crore in gross collection in India and reaching a worldwide gross collection of approximately ₹246.07 crore.

However, the film is facing competition from other major releases, including Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and other regional films.
