Marriage certificate is the legal document of marriage which proves your marital relationship. This certificate is necessary at many places.

Without a marriage certificate, there may be a problem in these works, so it has become mandatory to get it made in today's era.

Process Of Getting Marriage Certificate

Earlier, getting a marriage certificate in UP was a bit difficult and time consuming task. One had to go to different offices. But now the UP government has made it online, which has given a lot of convenience to the people. Now you can apply online sitting at home and get your certificate tension-free.

How To Apply Online?

Go to the official website of the Stamp and Registration Department of the UP government https://igrsup.gov.in/igrsup/defaultAction.action. From there you have to do the following process.

  1. Marriage registration form has to be filled.
  2. Necessary documents like wedding photos, Aadhaar card, witnesses' details have to be uploaded.
  3. After filling all the details correctly, submit the form.
  4. If all the documents are found to be correct, the application will be accepted.
  5. You have to go to the selected office on any working day within 30 days and get the marriage certificate.

  • Wedding photos
  • Aadhaar cards of the bride and groom
  • Witness details
  • Other marriage certificates (if any)

A fee of between Rs 100 and Rs 200 has to be paid for online application. It is important to upload the correct documents, otherwise the application may be rejected and the whole process will have to be started again.
