New Delhi: Many women experience vomiting and nausea during pregnancy. Sometimes they vomit due to something, sometimes at the sight of something. This problem is especially common in the early stages of pregnancy, and women often struggle to figure out how to get rid of it.

However, gynecologist Dr Priyanka has shared some important tips to address this issue for pregnant women.

Let's explore her suggestions in detail.

In an Instagram video, gynecologist Dr Priyanka explains that vomiting during pregnancy is caused by the hCG hormone. This hormone acts as a supportive hormone in the body. If this hormone is increasing properly, you may experience vomiting. This is also considered a good sign in early pregnancy.

The expert further explains that you can take some simple steps to prevent vomiting during pregnancy. First, avoid staying hungry for long periods. Eat something light, like a biscuit or rusk, as soon as you wake up in the morning. This will dry out your saliva and make you feel better.

Dr Priyanka advises against brushing teeth or using tongue cleaners first thing in the morning, as this can increase the risk of vomiting during pregnancy. Also, avoid junk and oily foods. Don't eat large meals at one time; eat at short intervals.

Experts suggest eating six smaller meals instead of three. Additionally, eating sweet and sour candy before meals can help reduce pregnancy nausea and make you feel better.
