Puducherry: Actor-turned-politician Vijay is set to hold his first major political rally since the Karur tragedy, with Puducherry Police granting permission for the December 9 event.
The Puducherry Police have released a public advisory regarding for TVK rally at the Expo Ground (New Port), Uppalam. The advisory outlines strict guidelines for attendance, safety, and traffic management to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

The police confirmed that permission has been granted for a maximum of 5,000 attendees, strictly as requested by the TVK Party. Only individuals holding valid passes with QR codes issued by the party will be allowed entry.
Authorities have warned that persons without a valid QR-coded pass will not be permitted under any circumstances. The public is advised not to travel to the venue without a pass, as entry restrictions may cause inconvenience and crowding at the gates.
As part of the safety measures, children, pregnant women, and senior citizens are advised not to attend the meeting. These restrictions are being enforced to reduce health risks and ensure the safety of all participants.
The advisory emphasized that the event is exclusively for Puducherry residents holding valid passes. Visitors from neighboring districts of Tamil Nadu or other states will not be allowed to enter the venue. Police have urged non-resident attendees to refrain from coming to the venue to avoid inconvenience.
