Bulandshahr: A grand mass wedding ceremony was held today in Bulandshahr under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, where 82 couples tied the knot at Sneha Garden Marriage Home. The traditional wedding rituals began at 11 AM, culminating with each couple taking the seven sacred rounds to become life partners.
Under this scheme, each bride received ₹60,000 in her bank account, while dowry support worth ₹25,000 was provided, including items such as a saree, anklets, pressure cooker, trolley bag, fan, dinner set, and other essentials. Additionally, ₹15,000 was allocated for departmental arrangements for the event.
The ceremony was attended by the District Development Officer, District Social Welfare Officer Ranjana Singh, and other district-level officials, who reviewed the dowry distribution and other arrangements. Officials noted that it may take some time to achieve all the targets set under the scheme.
