Is Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath merely an outsider or an ideological infiltrator? Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raises serious questions on governance, caste bias, and alleged corruption in UP ahead of upcoming political battles.
Akhilesh Labels CM Yogi an “Ideological Infiltrator”.
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday likened Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to an infiltrator, highlighting both his origins from Uttarakhand and what Yadav termed ideological differences. Speaking to reporters at Lohia Park on Ram Manohar Lohia’s death anniversary, Yadav said, “The chief minister is from Uttarakhand. He is not the only infiltrator; he is also an infiltrator from the ideological point of view.”
He further questioned the BJP’s statistics on migration and exodus in the state, calling them misleading. “If one were to rely on their figures, they would be completely lost,” he added. Yadav also noted that Adityanath was previously affiliated with another political party before joining the BJP.
Yadav didn’t hold back on the government’s law and order record. Referring to NCRB data, he claimed that atrocities against Dalits have increased under the current regime. He cited the recent killing of a young man from the Valmiki community as an example of what he called widespread injustice.
“The government’s claim of zero tolerance is meaningless on the ground. Police are more focused on filing false cases against political opponents, leaving women unsafe,” Yadav alleged. He accused the BJP of hiding failures while projecting a sanitized image of governance.
Yadav accuses BJP of caste-based administrative.
The SP chief also accused the BJP of caste-based discrimination in administrative postings and governance. “The BJP is the biggest casteist party. In several districts, there are no PDA officers, and only people from a particular caste are being posted. Dalits face atrocities, and we will compile their records,” he said.
On corruption, Yadav added, “All limits have been crossed. Corruption exists in every department. The government that once claimed it could reach Kanpur in 45 minutes is now protecting criminals.”
Yadav targeted the BJP’s Swadeshi rhetoric, questioning their economic policies and foreign trade relations. “If BJP truly believes in Swadeshi, why are they trading with China? Farmers are beaten, deprived of fertilisers, and traders profit at the expense of public welfare,” he said.
Remembering Lohia, Advocating Social Justice
Paying homage to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, Yadav emphasised the need to fight injustice and caste-based inequality. “Today, as we remember Dr Lohia, we pledge to spread his vision, ensure economic and social dignity for all, and build a PDA-led government,” he said.
